Rustlewood Farm

300 acres of farmland — fields, forest and wetlands– stretching from Kittery to Eliot.

KLT purchased two conservation easements on the farm in 2014, which have eliminated the possibility of future residential development. The land protects nearly a mile of Spruce Creek and maintains the open vistas along Wilson Road (Rte 101).

The Johnson family continues to own and farm the land, the last dairy farm in Kittery.

Year round, public access is limited. There is a small parking area approximately 1/4 mile past the Johnsons farm on the right if you’re coming from Kittery. The parking lot is just before the Purlpe Heart Town sign.

Passive winter recreation (skiing, snowshoeing) is allowed. Hunting is only by permission from the Johnson family.
