In 2025, Kittery Land Trust partnered with Edward “Ted” Green to conserve 17 acres on Gerrish Island through a conservation easement. While the property is not open to public access, the easement ensures that this special stretch of coastline and its scenic views will remain protected for generations to come.

By safeguarding the land’s natural character and coastal landscape, the project helps preserve the beauty and ecological health of Gerrish Island while honoring the Greens’ commitment to conservation.
