KITTERY LAND TRUST PROPERTIES

Cook's Wetland

Cook's Wetland was donated to the Kittery Land Trust in December 1994 by Norman A. Cook and Dorothy A. Cook in memory of Sterling Cook. It consists of more than five acres of fresh-water wetlands located off State Route One, behind Carl's Market, Golden Harvest, Beach Pea Baking Company, and Kittery Optometric Associates.

Seen below is an aerial photograph showing the location of the property.

In April 2005, Timberland employees and KLT members participated in a clean-up day to remove trash and invasive growth. Melissa Paly, KLT's president, and Mark Buzzell, operations manager of Timberland's Kittery outlet store, visited the property in February 2005 to assess what needed to be done.
