2013 Friend of Kittery Conservation Award:  Craig Wilson

Craig Wilson is "a model for the rest of us," said retiring Board member Ken Fellows who presented Wilson, at the Annual Meeting and Clambake, with the 9th Friend of Kittery Conservation Award. Frequently seen on his bicycle, Wilson has an impressive record of dedicated service to the Kittery community. As Fellows described it, where there has been a need, Wilson has filled it and when specific knowledge has been required, Wilson has acquired it. Wilson's list of contributions include being Chair of the Planning Board and the Chair and now Treasurer of the Board of Appeals, serving on the Comprehensive Plan Committee, and volunteering at the Mitchell School and for the Headstart program. With his valuable knowledge of the history, geography, and legal codes in Kitteryhe has also been a loyal, hard working member of the Open Space Committee. Fellows praised Wilson's helpful guidance, calm judgment, well-informed opinion. KLT is very pleased to recognize Craig Wilson for his contribution to land conservation and the well being of Kittery!
